TheArcLink works in these areas in addition to TheArcLink.org:
- The Medicaid Reference Desk explains Medicaid in cognitively accessible language. With financial assistance from the Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD) through a grant to The Arc of the United States, more than 2,000 state Medicaid service definitions have been translated into easy-to-understand language and also recorded in brief audio and video clips. The project team includes Nancy Ward, a self-advocate leader with the Oklahoma Disability Law Center, Laurie Powers, Ph.D., Regional Research Institute, Portland State University, Diann Drummond, Parent Liaison, Portland Public Schools and Elbert Johns, President of TheArcLink. The team is also working on a online planning quide for use by people with disabilities and a curriculum for fully inclusive workgroups.
- GoVoter.org is the supporting website for National Technicial Assistance Center for Voting and Cognitive Access, which is also financially supported by the Administration on Developmental Disabilities through a grant to Portland State University. In addition, TheArcLink works with the Disability Vote Alliance for disability vote mobilization, working to maximize the voting strength of Americans with disabilities through nonpartisan voter education, registration and mobilization efforts.
- TheArcLink also provide technical consultation and specialized web hosting and support for disability organizations.
